Origins & History of the O'Sheehy Clan
The historic Irish surname O’Sheehy derives from the Gaelic Mac Síthigh, traditionally translated as “Peace-Loving Warrior”. Rooted deeply within the ancestral province of Munster, particularly the territories of County Kerry, the clan maintained a revered status among the hereditary dynasties of ancient Ireland.
