Origins & History of the O'Hartigan Clan
The historic Irish surname O’Hartigan derives from the Gaelic Ó hArtagáin, traditionally translated as “Descendant of Little Art”. Rooted deeply within the ancestral province of Munster, particularly the territories of County Limerick, the clan maintained a revered status among the hereditary dynasties of ancient Ireland.
