Origins & History of the O'Hannon Clan
The historic Irish surname O’Hannon derives from the Gaelic Ó hAnnáin, traditionally translated as “Champion of the Tribe”. Rooted deeply within the ancestral province of Munster, particularly the territories of County Cork, the clan maintained a revered status among the hereditary dynasties of ancient Ireland.
