Ulster Province
Ulster occupies the northern province of nine counties: Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Derry, Tyrone, Cavan, Monaghan, and Donegal. It was the ancestral kingdom of the O’Neill and O’Donnell dynasties. Ulster produced both the early eighteenth-century Scots-Irish pioneers and the nineteenth-century industrial diaspora of miners and factory workers.
